
A Month of Conservation Awareness and Tourism at Eco Arts Initiatives
In September every year we celebrate International Ozone Day, World literacy Days, World Gorillas Day, Naming gorilla Day (Kwita izina), International peace and World tourism day. That is why Eco-arts considered this month as a month of conservation awareness and tourism.
Eco-arts in partnership with Rwanda development Board; we are Working together to engage the future generation in Conservation and tourism as well as help them to discover what they have to protects. Meanwhile, this is good occasion to promote sustainable tourism and conservation to all the children including disable ones.

INTERNATIONAL OZONE DAY
World Ozone day is observed in September, every year. It is celebrated to spread awareness among people about the depletion of Ozone Layer and search for possible solution to preserve it. The children are greatest risk from exposure to Ozone because their lungs are still developing and they are most likely to be active outdoors which increase their exposure. They can easily get asthma and air pollution can easily harm their normal growth of lungs function.
As we celebrate Ozone day in this camp Fiston ISHIMWE- community Liaison office at Akagera national park and Patience SHUMBUSHO- CEO of Eco-Arts helped the children to know the important of nature to Ozone in our daily life, they understood that nature is source of the life as they provide us oxygen, green food like fruits which is good to our health.
WORLD GORILLA DAY AND NAMING GORILLA (KWITA IZINA)
The government of Rwanda (Rwanda Development Board), Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International and other organization work together to save mountain gorillas in volcanic massif which is endangered species. In that case Eco-Arts contribute this initiative on Kwita Izina and World Gorilla Day
the children from the community surrounding Volcanoes national park to visit Akagera National Park for the purpose of helping them to live and interact with animals and natural exchange in peace. It also became an opportunity for us to release the book which will help the children to learn about mountain gorillas and its Habitat for promoting sustainable tourism in the schools; so that they could refresh about mountain gorillas. , they all took the name of mountain gorillas’ new babies born; for them to keep interacting with those new babies born.
INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE
Giving peace a chance is the main focus on World Peace Day, which is observed every year on September 21. This day seeks to remind people of all races and all nations to think about universal peace
For promoting sustainable peace is all about thinking about restoring our planet which is source of our life because peace never exist while our planet is being destroyed. That is why through this camp children get opportunities to learn how they could promote green peace based on restoring our planet for sustainable development. To engage the children live with disabilities balancing the right children in contribution to shape the future which is also the key of sustainable peace.
WORLD TOURISM DAYS
World Tourism Day is celebrated to raise awareness on the importance of tourism and how it affects the social, cultural, political and economic values internationally. Eco- arts aims TO PROMOTE SUSTAINBLE TOURISM AMONG THE CHILDREN. Those children from Volcanoes national park to Akagera national park helped them to naturalize tourism exchange based on all environmental heritage so that they will be future tourist and future eco-tourism investor
It was great to time to them because they found different animals and they was not expected that those animal live in Rwanda they took time to learn the history of this park which is the home of Big Five. They visited Museum exhibition of Akagera National Park where they learn Morphology and Biography of animals which live in this park.
WORLD LITERACY MONTH
8th September every year the world celebrate Literacy day and then September become literacy month because it became a time to promote culture of reading as well as writing. In that case Eco –Arts which promote sustainable conservation and tourism through culture of reading , in this camp become time to reading books of my lively gorillas in case to help the participates to about mountain gorilla and volcanoes national parks

WORLD CHILD DAY
This photo with green line indicates the limit where the children were obliging to plant the trees at the Edge of school field. The children well very happy to be the guardian of the future, children from Mubuga primary school at Rutsiro district Nyabirasi sector Near Gishwati-Mukura National park. The children planted two thousand trees, Every child has opportunity to plant his /her owner trees and giving his/her trees so that she he will take care to those trees
